Gmail upgraded with support for spreadsheets

Google has added newly "Google Spreadsheets " option in gmail.



I could observe that my gmail is now supporting "open in Google spreadsheets ".



Whenever a mail is received with excel sheets as attachments . The attachment can either be viewed as HTML or it can be downloaded .



Now a new option of "Open in google spreadsheets" is available.One of the google's way to make people widely use google docs.



But if the received mail contains a word document ."Open in google docs "or "Open in google spreadsheets" is missing .



MS Word documents has only two options either to be viewed as HTML or to be downloaded.



OTHER TECHNIQUE :



Other technique for MS Word received as attachment to be added in "Google Docs".



Just when the user logs in to Google Docs there is a private email address option . It is a special email id which can post the MS Word docs received , to the Google Docs User repository.



Presently this feature is not available for MS Excelsheets.



Still there are lots of development to come in this integration of google services into gmail.
